Access, parking, travel
You can go to the island on foot, by taxi or even by boat. However, the easiest way to get there is to take the HÉV. From Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport, there is a direct Sziget connection. If you choose a taxi, there are 4 partners to get on and off the island at the closest point of entry. The official taxis of Sziget are Bolt, FÅ‘taxi, City Taxi and 6×6 Taxi. We recommend that you only use these taxis to avoid fraud.
There are only a limited number of parking spaces. You can get to the designated parking area via the H-bridge. It is possible to arrive by bicycle or scooter, which can be parked at the designated area. Access is via the K-bridge, as usual. However, the main entry point has been moved a little further away. This will also relieve traffic congestion in the area and ease congestion on busy days.
Accommodation
You can camp anywhere on the island. Exceptions are venues, the area around stages and the campsite, for which a separate ticket is required. There are a variety of upgraded camping services on the Island. There are also a number of Airbnb and hotel options.
Hospitality and services
The biggest transformation and change will be in the hospitality sector. This mainly concerns the catering services and the location of food trucks. There will be no scattering of restaurants, but food trucks will be set up in various locations around the island. Each food court will have meat-heavy, vegetarian, vegan and climate-friendly options. There will also be a zero waste shop at the festival this year, for the first time. Drinks will continue to be served by the backpack system.
On the last note, we share a useful tip with you. The Sziget App, available on all operating systems, will help you find your way around. Programme board, map and much more will help you have the best possible time at the festival.
